International Airport Chisinau will take steps to combat human trafficking

The aviation security service of the International Airport Chisinau in concert with the Ministry of the Interior will hold a roundtable meeting to work out the basic principles of cooperation with the police in combating trafficking in human beings, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the airport’s press service. The decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the aeronautical security commission. The airport’s administration asked the state bodies and representatives of airlines to take part in the formulation of measures aimed at combating cross-border trafficking. In a move to fight corruption, the airport’s administration and the aeronautical security commission decided to launch an awareness-raising campaign. They will set up the hotline 52 99 39 that the passengers can use to confidentially report acts of corruption and protectionism committed while crossing the state border in the airport.
