Work has begun in Chisinau to set up 41 modular platforms for collecting household waste. The platforms are of three types: with two, three and four containers. The beneficiaries will be the residents of 62 apartment buildings in all sectors of the city, said the Directorate for Housing and Public Amenities.
The platforms are made of metal and covered on the outside with aluminum composite panels. “Recyclable waste” or “biodegradable waste” is imprinted on the top of the case.
The contractor was selected following tender procedures, at a cost of 4.3 million lei for the equipment and installation.
Modular platforms for household waste were installed previously as well. Last year, 55 platforms were installed for 58 apartment blocks, after their old waste tube systems were taken out of use. In 2020, another 55 modular platforms were set up for 62 apartment blocks.
