Persons from Moldova who are active on Instagram on December 15 and 16 displayed their wardrobe for sale at a charitable fair. This is the fifth event of the kind and is organized by the platform “Garderoba” (“Wardrobe”).

The platform’s head Elena Oleinic-Slivinski has told IPN that the funds raised on December 15 will be given to a 28-year-old woman from Soroca who suffers from cancer. She is the mother of two children, one of whom is disabled. The woman raises her children alone and needs money for diapers for her son and to repair the house. “I contacted a number of girls who mobilized and agreed to come to the fair and sell clothing from their personal wardrobe,” she stated.

On December 16, there will also be sold clothes from the wardrobe of child-stars of Instagram and the collected funds will be given to a one-year-old girl from Chisinau who suffers from cancer. “She needs treatment to have her state of health improved. The goal of the fair is to help those in need,” stated Elena Oleinic-Slivinski.

Businesswoman Veronica Vizant said she brought clothes that she likes and it is hard for her to give them, but she accepted because she wants to help. “We do it with our soul at peace. It is a fundraising event for a noble cause. We want a lot to help the family that is regrettably in a very bad situation,” she stated.

“Before Christmas, we all want to be good, to contribute to someone’s happiness at least to a small extent. As this is possible through our wardrobe, I accepted to help,” said fashion designer Nicoleta Rogac.

Olga Rusu-Varvarici, director of a medical center, said the story of the young woman from Soroca touched her a lot and she decided to help the woman and her children, one of whom is with disabilities.

The charitable fair that features Instagram stars takes place between 11am and 3pm at 14 Pushkin St. The clothes are sold for 50 lei and up.
