Three persons, one of whom an employee of the Main State Tax Inspectorate, were arrested by officers of the National Anticorruption Center for money laundering, passive corruption and traffic of influence, IPN reports.
The criminal case was started following the detection of a scheme for corrupting functionaries of the Inspectorate through the agency of third persons with the aim of protecting the activities of delinquent economic entities, IPN reports.
The anticorruption officers and prosecutors carried out about 20 inspections in Chisinau, including at the Main State Tax Inspectorate. Details will be given in a news conference on February 4.
