The members of a group called "For Dodon's Removal" have submitted a request to the Prosecutor's Office demanding the criminal prosecution of the President. In a press conference held at IPN, Vasile Costiuc, the leader of the Group, said that Igor Dodon had serious problems of morality and integrity.

Vasile Costiuc declares that Igor Dodon puts his people in important institutions, including Security and Intelligence Service, National Anticorruption Center and in the prosecution service. "If those who now run the Government do not understand this, then they do not deserve to be called leaders of the Republic of Moldova. Dodon does not intend to share power with either Sandu or Năstase", said the leader of the Group.

Dumitru Munteanu, university professor, Group member, considers that the situation in the country is serious; Igor Dodon promotes in his public speech the interests of Moscow. Dumitru Munteanu also said that Igor Dodon is the "Kremlin agent" and cannot be at the helm of the country. "He wants to federalize Moldova, fulfilling the conditions of the Kremlin. He must resign without any conditions”, said the professor.

A copy of the request submitted to the Prosecutor's Office will also be sent to delegations accredited in Chisinau, to international institutions. On Monday, August 5, the Group members announced a hunger strike and a rally in front of the US Embassy "to draw the attention of the partners that if they do not get involved, it will be late in the middle of the year to get us out of Putin's clutches".

The group calls people, regardless of political preferences, on August 23, in the Great National Assembly Square, to protest against manifestations held under the patronage of Igor Dodon and dedicated to the liberation of Moldova from fascism.
