The Socialists created an initiative group that on March 27 will submit the documents concerning the holding of a local referendum on the dismissal of Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca to the Centru Court, The announcement was made by Chisinau councilor Ion Ceban, IPN reports.
“We are determined to make effort for elections in Chisinau to be announced by the end of this year so that the inhabitants choose a mayor who will represent them,” Ceban wrote on Facebook.
Earlier, an initiative group consisting of civil society activists initiated the procedure for organizing a referendum on the dismissal of the mayor of Chisinau also through court. Their request was ultimately rejected.
