Information Technology and Communications Week opens

The Information Technology and Communications Week starts in Chisinau today. It will last until Saturday, May 23. In a communiqué, the Ministry of Information Development says that the event is designed to strengthen the efforts aimed at building and developing the information society in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. A number of activities with a joint aim and ideology will be carried out to promote the information and communications technologies. Another goal is to extend the number of users of advanced technology. After the opening ceremony on Monday, there will be opened a conference themed “Information Technology and Communications – 2009”, which will close on Thursday. There will be also held the international scientific-practical conference “Information Security 2009” and the NATO-supported international seminar ”Cyber Terrorism: Prevention and Protection”.
