The Information and Documentation Center for citizens of the mayoralty of Chisinau municipality will be completed with new desks. For the moment local authorities intend to give them to the Dwelling and Prosecutors departments. The interim mayor Vasile Ursu stated on Monday, 17 July, within the working meeting of the mayoralty, that the general prosecutor of Moldova, Valeriu Balaban, insists on opening a consulting desk for prosecutors, where, by rotation, the prosecutors of all 5 districts of Chisinau municipality, as well as the prosecutor of Chisinau municipality, will be informed by the citizens about the problems of the society. According to Ursu, if „everything goes well”, the authorities will discuss further the possibility of opening new desks for other municipal services as well. Ursu also noted that the PR Service, the offices of the deputy mayors’ advisors and the legal department will be placed in the building of the mayoralty, neighboring the Information and Documentation Center of Citizens. This is done in order to solve the problems of the citizens in due time. The mayor urged the management of the consulting desks to place the best specialists behind them. The consulting desks started their activity on July 13. The aim is to find answers to the questions expressed by citizens to the local public administration with the help of representatives working behind these desks thus, allowing preventing the direct contact of the citizen with civil servants. The interim mayor – Vasile Ursu has declared to the press that the decision to install these desks was taken as a result of the corruption accusations brought to the local public administration by the Government, as well as by the population. The Centre for Information and Documentation of the citizens can be found inside the City Hall, having the entrance from Veronica Micle Street, previously the entrance to the City Bank.
