The National Social Insurance House (CNAS) enables every person who pays social insurance contributions to have access to the personal current account over the Internet. It calls on the people to verify it regularly so as to avoid possible problems when the pension and other allowances will be determined, IPN reports, quoting sources in the CNAS.

According to Clara Sorocean, head of the CNAS Individual Contributions Division, the legal framework obliges the employers to annually present information about the salaries of employees and the social insurance contributions paid. But not all the employers comply. “That’s why the information stored on the current account is often incomplete, while the periods for which the information is absent are excluded from the length of service when determining the pension. Therefore, the number of petitions and complaints to the CNAS has increased,” said Sorocean.

She recommended all the persons who pay social insurance contributions to inform themselves about the state of the personal current account that contains information about the size of the salary and the social insurance contributions calculated and paid into the state social insurance budget.

In order to have access to the current account through the Internet, the person must possess login and password, which can be obtained from the Local Social Insurance House. The application form is available on www.cnas.md. The filled out application will be sent to the email address cpas@cnas.gov.md.

Clara Sorocean reminded that the employers are obliged to present information about the transfer of social insurance contributions from employees’ salaries by April 25.

”Implementing the pension system reform strategy, the CNAS instituted the State Register of Individual Monitoring in the Public Social Instance System. Every person who pays social insurance contributions is allotted a personal code, which is also the number of the current account that includes information about the contributions paid into the state social insurance budget since January 1, 1999. The pension is determined based on this information,” said Clara Sorocean.
