Igor Botan told the journalists that the webpage contains information about all the elections, including the local elections and the elections held in Gagauzia. Those interested can find here information about how each settlement voted. The goal of the platform alegeri.md was to bring together comprehensive information about the elections in one place so that it is useful to the voters and journalists, who can find the necessary information on one webpage.

ADEPT project coordinator Grigore Stegarescu said the section “Electoral courier” contains news items about the electoral activity. The section “Electoral contenders” already includes information about the parties and people registered as runners in this year’s elections. It will be updated until October 30, which is the deadline by which the applicants can be registered as contenders.

The platform contains detailed information about each election runner, the list of candidates, the government program, the emblem, slogan, electoral ads and press releases of the political organizations. Grigore Stegarescu said the lists of candidates are also analyzed. The Party “Democracy at Home” has the youngest team, whose average age is 32. By gender, the Communist Party is a leader with four women among the top ten candidates.

The platform also contains the section “Election monitoring”. It will contain the results of the monitoring performed by national and international organizations. The section “Opinion polls” includes the results of all the surveys containing the question “If elections were held next Sunday, what party would you vote for?”.
