Info-Prim Neo news agency (IPN) has launched the press Conference Room, located in its headquarters on Sfatul Tarii Street, 9, with a press conference held by representatives of the Balti-based “FM 103.5” radio station on the removal of the station from the media landscape.
IPN Director Valeriu Vasilica told the representatives of media that the opening of the News Conference Room is a new step towards accomplishing the agency’s main goal – to offer a large variety of first-hand and pluralist information. He assured reporters that they will have adequate conditions for receiving clearly the message of the conference and disseminate the information.
Vasilica informed the journalists, that after the local Christian-democrat and Communist councillors had liquidated the municipal news agency Info-Prim, the team opened a new agency, Info-Prim Neo, which tried to survive in extremely difficult conditions. The financial support was provided by the Open Society Institute Foundation, fact which allowed purchasing the necessary equipment, furniture, including for the News Conference Room.
According to Vasilica, IPN will make sure that a public as large as possible will be informed about the news conferences planned.
Several journalists told Info-Prim Neo that the new room has good chances to compete with similar facilities. Oxana Iutes of PRO-TV said that the new conference room is light, cosy, modern and with advanced equipment. The journalist Ion Marandici of Europa.md said that the room has sufficient space, conditions and light for efficient work.
