A man from Soroca aged 42, driving under the influence of alcohol, hit mortally a 14-year-old teen by his car, IPN reports.
The accident happened on a road bypassing Soroca town in the evening of June 6. The boy was walking on the right side of the footway together with another four teens. He died on the spot. The other children weren’t hurt.
According to press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Uliana Palii, the driver faces four to eight years in jail. The case is investigated by the Soroca Police Inspectorate. The victim’s family earlier lost another child in a road accident.
