Inebriated driver crashes car into post and dies

A drunken driver aged 54 lost control of the car, crashed it into a lamp post and died at the place of the accident. The tragedy happened on April 7 in the evening near Izarenii-Vechi village of Sangerei district, Tudor Capatana, of the Traffic Police Division's PR department, has told Info-Prim Neo. The same day, a 14-year-old minor was caught between a truck parked in a market on Calea Basarabiei St and a car driven by a woman aged 27. The boy got his shank fractured. A girl aged 17 was struck by a minibus on a crosswalk in Gavanoasa village of Cahul district. She sustained a pelvis trauma. A 16-year-old cyclist was hit by a car on the Ustia-Criuleni road. The boy was taken to the hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma, a contusion and excoriations. A girl aged 9 fell from a cart that was driven by her elder sister. The incident happened near Stejareni village of Straseni district. The child was hospitalized. A 16-year-old girl suffered injuries when she was struck by a car in the yard of a house in Casenca village, Floresti district. The driver aged 23 left the scene. A Mercedes struck a pedestrian aged 48 on Dacia Blvd. in Chisinau. The man sustained a cranial-cerebral trauma, a concussion, facial injuries and excoriations. Four persons died and 13 were injured in 12 road accidents in Moldova on April 7. This year, the motorcyclists caused seven accidents that resulted in one death and 12 persons hurt.
