The fifth stage of the national futsal championship witnessed a spectacular duel between the first two ranked teams. Current champion Progres demolished the holder of the Cup Tarsus 8-1, IPN reports.
The goals were scored by Coceban (3), Subotin, Gojan, Nicolaiciuc, Shevchuk and goalkeeper Chitoroaga, and, respectively, Iacovenco. It should be noted that Dorin Coceban, who scored a hat-trick, is the coach of Progres. This victory allowed the champion to distance itself by three points from Tarsus.
In another match of the fifth stage, Socol lost in Tiraspol to Atletico 2-7. In the next round on February 1, Progress meets Atletico, while Olimpia plays against Socol.
