Increased flow on Ukrainian side reported at four frontier posts

The Border Police said that heavier traffic is seen on the Ukrainian side at four Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing points, namely Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe, Tudora-Starokazacie, Basarabeasca – Serpniovo and Criva-Mamaliga. The traffic at the other frontier posts is minimal, IPN reports.

As many as 20,245 persons crossed Moldova’s borders during the last 12 hours, up to 8am. Out of these, 11,486 entered Moldova. The traffic was heavier between 8pm and 3am.

A number of 9,602 Ukrainian citizens crossed the border and 5,411 of them entered the Republic of Moldova. Out of these, 3,298 are minors aged 14 or under.

The citizens of Ukraine can cross the Moldovan-Ukrainian border by presenting internal IDs. The minors are allowed to enter with a birth certificate, identity card or passport.
