By Thursday, all kindergartens and schools in Chisinau must be ready to welcome children. The access roads nearby and the ways to the yard should be cleared of snow. If branches have fallen, these must be taken away on Tuesday and Wednesday. The subject was discussed in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.
Andrei Pavaloi, head of the General Education, Youth and Sports Division, reminded of the Chisinau Commission for Emergency Situations’ decision to suspend the educational process in kindergartens and schools in Chisinau for two days in connection with the heavy snowfall.
According to him, the program of lessons to make up for the classes missed on Tuesday and Wednesday will be agreed by the school administration. These lessons must be taught by the end of the second semester, either by one hour each day or on Saturdays.
Andrei Pavaloi said that today and tomorrow, the snow removal works will be completed so that there will be no impediments to the movement of employees, parents and children. The vehicles cleared the snow up to the gate of institutions and the snow will be now removal from the access roads to the cooking facilities and to the entrance to institutions.
In total, the educational process for a period of one or two days, January 9 and 10, was suspended in 22 districts.
