In the Republic of Moldova, 6700 voters have voted so far for the President of Romania

In the 59 polling stations opened in the Republic of Moldova for the presidential elections in Romania, 6700 voters have voted so far. Voting abroad started at 12.00 on Friday and continues throughout today and Sunday. A total of around 50,000 Romanians have voted in the 950 polling stations open outside Romania by 10:00 today, IPN reports.

The Romanian Permanent Electoral Authority says that voting abroad on Saturday, November 23, started at 07.00 (local time) and will end at 21.00. On Sunday, November 24, polling stations abroad are open from 07.00 to 21.00. For each of the three polling days abroad, there is the possibility of extending the polling station opening hours until 23.59 for citizens who are in the polling station premises at 21.00 and for those who are queuing outside the polling station premises to enter the polling station.

 Romanian citizens with the right to vote who live, reside or are temporarily abroad may vote in the Romanian presidential elections at any of the polling stations organized abroad, on the basis of an identity document issued by the Romanian state, valid on the day of voting. These are the identity card, electronic identity card, provisional identity card, identity card, identity card, diplomatic passport, including electronic passports. It is also possible to vote with the service passport, the electronic service passport, the simple passport, the simple electronic passport, the simple temporary passport, the military service card.

In the Romanian presidential elections, Romanian citizens, including Moldovans with Romanian citizenship, have a choice between 14 candidates. They include leaders of Romanian political parties and independent candidates.

There are 59 polling stations open in the Republic of Moldova for the Romanian presidential elections. The same polling stations will be open for the Senate and Chamber of Deputies elections on December 1.
