In eve of new school year there are disputes regarding new study building from Bubuieci locality

The decision regarding the retrocession of a study building of the Medium School from Bubuieci locality, Chisinau municipality to the Professions School Nr. 4 from the locality caused the dissatisfaction of the parents, the teachers and the local council. Ion Saranut, mayor of Bubuieci, declared on Monday, August 21, during the meeting with the Chisinau City Hall that the Ministry of Education and Youth agreed on the retrocession of the study building of primary classes to the Professions School. This decision was announced by the local authorities only at the end of the last week, little before the start of the new school year. The reparation of the building this year was done with the help of the parents, mentioned the mayor. According to him, under these circumstances, the children will have to study in two shifts and „ in winter to go to school when it is already dark outside, from one end of the village to another through mud, because the roads in the village are not the best ones.” During last years, local administration from Bubuieci requested the Municipal Council from Chisinau to approve the construction of a new study building for the primary classes, where 400 children study. Even if the building area was allocated, the works didn’t start and there is no hope for them to start soon, Saranut says. When the Theoretical Lyceum „ Tudor Bubuioc „ will be opened on the first of September on the basis of medium school, 350 students from the village who are presently studying in the lyceums from Chisinau will return in the village and then „ the problem regarding the lack of students and the necessity for additional space for them will disappear.” Ad- interim head of Municipal department for Education, Science, Youth and Sport, Tatiana Nagdibeda announced that the building is the property of the Professions School from 1994 and was under the management of the Medium School that needed additional space. Nagdibeda mentioned that back then in the school over one thousand children were studying, and presently there are only 730. She thinks that this problem was not solved appropriately from the beginning because the students of the primary classes have to eat their lunch in the main study building and to run in the winter to the toilets from the yard of the school. Ad-interim mayor of Chisinau municipality Vasile Ursu promised that depending on the discussions that will take place with the specialized Minister who will visit the school and will contribute to solving the problem.
