A Moldovan delegation is taking part in the 38th General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC). The meeting will center on the improvement of the taxation system in the BSEC member states, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the legislature.
The delegation is headed by the secretary of the parliamentary commission on culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media Iurie Bolboceanu. It also includes MP Petru Stirbate.
The 38th General Assembly is taking place in Tirana, Albania, on November 21-23. The participants will also discuss the implementation of the agreements on the fight against organized crime, the budget for 2012 and other issues.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization was constituted as a result of the major political changes that took place at the end of the 1980s, when the countries of the Black Sea region reappeared on the world scene. The organization aims to transform the Black Sea region into an area of stability, prosperity and peace.
Currently, the BSCE Parliamentary Assembly includes 12 countries, counting Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
