The implementation of the Third Energy Package and the Law on natural gas, brought in line with the European directive, is conditioned by the European energy community on settling the debts for natural gas and regulating the ownership of assets, that is, the overall assets and property of "Moldovagaz" SA. The subject of regulating the payment of historical gas debts has been discussed in Moscow by Prime Minister Ion Chicu and the management of "Moldovagaz" with the administration of "Gazprom" public JSC. During the discussions, it has been mentioned that the gas debt of the right bank of the Dniester constitutes 443 million dollars, while that of the left bank is of 6.2 billion dollars, IPN reports.

In a press release issued by "Moldovagaz" it is mentioned that each of the natural gas delivery lines that will be put into operation starting January 1, 2020, including the reverse flow via the Trans-Balkan corridor through the Turkish Stream, has been fully analyzed. The chairman of JSC "Moldovagaz", Vadim Ceban, reported that on November 12 he personally checked each station, making a working visit to Isaccea and Orlovka gas measurement stations, where he met with his partners from Romania and Ukraine. The Romanian side and the Ukrainian side have officially confirmed the completion of all the works and their readiness for reverse flow.

Vadim Ceban has mentioned that "Moldovagaz" is ready to receive at least about 12.4 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, following the last activities carried out jointly with gas transport operators from Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.

Vadim Ceban has also said that the draft agreement to extend the contract with "Gazprom" in order to ensure a reliable supply of natural gas is being discussed by the parties. In this regard, next week a service trip is planned to the headquarters of "Gazprom" in St. Petersburg. The other documents are also almost ready. These are the Interconnection agreements for each of the following points - Alexeevca, Grebeniki, Causeni - with the Ukrainian operator and the Technical Agreement for joint management at Causeni and Orlovka gas measurement stations, by operators from Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
