The Government undertakes to act in accordance with the Action Plan for the implementation of the Association Agreement. At the same time, relations with the European Union and the implementation of the Association Agreement remain a major priority for the Government. Statements in this regard were made by Prime Minister Ion Chicu at the meeting he had with the ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
In a press release of the Government it is mentioned that Ion Chicu has assured that the executive will be fully engaged in carrying out the reforms in accordance with the Association Agreement with the European Union. "Our actions to promote reforms will take place within the legislative framework, consulting the opinion of organizations such as the Venice Commission, the OSCE, the EU," the prime minister noted.
The head of the cabinet has said that the Government will ensure a balanced communication with all the development partners of the Republic of Moldova and will focus on the country's development. "We hope for the continuity of a pro-active political, economic, cultural and humanitarian dialogue of the Republic of Moldova in its capacity of a subject of relations and international law with all the states of the international community, primarily with the strategic and traditional partners of our country," highlighted Ion Chicu.
The head of the cabinet has also mentioned that the representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited to Chisinau appreciated the determination with which the new executive committed to implement the established program and stated that they would continue to support the changes for the benefit of the citizens.
