An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission led by Ivanna Vladkova-Hollar will visit Chisinau during July 5-15, 2016, IPN reports, quoting a press statement of the IMF Representative Office in Moldova.
The mission will initiate discussions on the possible IMF program, and will seek to reach agreement on a comprehensive set of policies that would maintain macroeconomic stability, improve governance and transparency in the banking sector, and foster sustainable and inclusive growth.
The most recent IMF mission visited Moldova during May 23-27, 2016. As a result of this, the sides announced that the IMF epxerts and the Moldovan authrotieis made progress in developing a common view on key problems, such as the need to strengthen governance and tackle non-transparent shareholder structures in the banks.
