Two men aged 28 and 40 from Chisinau municipality were arrested on suspicion that they forged official Romanian documents and put them into circulation in order to facilitate the transportation of persons abroad, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said that for forging a document, the men asked for €150 to € 700, depending on the importance and possibilities of using the forged document. For an additional sum of up to €1,000, these also organized the transportation of persons abroad.
The suspects were caught immediately after a police officer under cover received a forged identity card and a forged driver’s license. Within searches, the police found and seized the money and a Baikal pistol held legally. The two were escorted to the Botanica prosecutor’s office and were then placed under arrest for 72 hours.
