Ilian Cașu on his Facebook page announced that he left the Political Party “Our Party” and interrupted his political activity for personal reasons, IPN reports.
“I inform you that for personal reasons, I interrupt my political activity I thank Renato Usatîi and the team of “Our Party” for cooperation. I wish good health to everyone!” Ilian Cașu wrote.
Ilian Cașu held the post of vice president of the Political Party “Our Party”. He made his debut in politics in 2015, when he competed for the mayoralty of the municipality of Chisinau on behalf of the party. After the local elections, he served as a municipal councilor. He also ran on the party’s national list in the parliamentary elections of 2019 and in the parliamentary elections of July 2021 on behalf of the Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi”.
By profession, he is a teacher of English and an expert in political science. He graduated from the Bălți University “Alecu Russo”, the Faculty of Foreign Languages. He has a master’s degree in political science from the University of Mississippi that is adjacent to Oxford.
