The candidate for the post of mayor of Orhei town Ilan Shor on June 10 presented the team of candidates for the post of councilor in Orhei on behalf of the Party “Ravnopravie”. Shor told a news conference that all the candidates are professionals in different areas and he knows them all personally, IPN reports.
The team of candidates for the post of councilor includes 17 persons. According to Ilan Shor, these are jurists, engineers, doctors and economists - persons with experience and exceptional capacities who can promote the interests of the whole community of Orhei. “There were selected persons of different professiosl so that we could deal with all kinds of problems,” he stated.
Ilan Shor noted that a large number of meetings with residents of the town have been held so far and there were identified the problems faced by the people. “It is very important for our team that each inhabitant of Orhei should realize that we have big plans for the community, which can be put into practice in a short period of time,” said the candidate, adding that discussions are held with potential investors and, regardless of the election outcome, the promises made in the election campaign will be fulfilled.
In his plan to rehabilitate and develop Orhei, presented last week, Ilan Shor places the repair of hospitals, schools and nurseries and of streets high on his list of priorities. He also intends to lay out the parks and green areas, to ensure free WI-FI in public places and to rehabilitate the historical monuments. At social level, the candidate promises to pay compensations for public utilities, to develop the urban public transport, to provide financial assistance at the birth of children and to create sports complexes and playgrounds.
On May 21, businessman Ilan Shor announced that he will run for the mayoralty of Orhei, being registered officially as an election runner representing the Party “Ravnopravie”.
