Igor Ursachi became the new coach of Olimpia Balti. He made his debut as a coach in the national championship match against Academia Chisinau, which Olimpia lost by 0-3.

Ursachi, 50, is the fifth coach of Olimpia the current season, IPN reports. Earlier, he trained Dacia Chisinau, FC Costuleni, and Veris Draganesti. His last workplace was at the National Division debutant Speranta Crihana Veche, which he left last autumn. In 2002 - 2005, Ursachi had worked at Moldova’s national team as Viktor Pasulko’s assistant.

Olimpia remained without a coach after Victor Berko and Sergiu Rogaciov left following a conflict with the club’s administration. At the start of March, Olimpia owner Serghei Kiseliov withdrew the team from the National Division, but reviewed his decision several days later. Olimpia Balti ranks ninth after 24 stages played.
