The president of the National Tennis Federation Igor Turcanu is buried today at the Central Cemetery situated on Armeneasca St in Chisinau, starting at 11.00.
Igor Turcanu, who headed the electoral staff of the candidate for mayor of Chisinau Mihai Godea, was seriously injured in a car blast on June 7 and died in the hospital in several hours.
The prosecution bodies are holding an inquiry over intentional murder. A number of versions are being examined, including the political factor. Mihai Godea has been questioned in this case. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, he stated that he answered all the questions of the prosecutors and provided all the information he had.
Maria Vieru, spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office, said the investigation goes on and a number of persons will be questioned in the case, but she did not give names.
