Igor Munteanu accepted by U.S. as Moldova's Ambassador

The executive director of the Institute for Development and Social Initiative “Viitorul”, political analyst Igor Munteanu was approved by the U.S. authorities as Moldova's Ambassador in Washington, sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration told Info-Prim Neo. Igor Munteanu, together with another four candidates for ambassadors, are to be named to posts by Government Decision at the August 4 meeting of the Cabinet. Afterward, they will be confirmed to posts by presidential decrees. Since 1996, Igor Munteanu has headed the Institute for Development and Social Initiative “Viitorul”. He wrote numerous publications that appeared in Moldova and abroad and books on political issues.
