The team of the Moldovan halfback Igor Kostrov, Slavia Mozyr, lost 0-2 the second leg of the semifinals of the Belarus Cup to BATE. The first leg was won by Slavia 1-0. Kostrov played throughout the match in Borisov, IPN reports.
In the final, BATE meets Dinamo Brest, which dramatically won again Shakhtyor Soligorsk, reaching the semifinals. The general score was 4-4 and Dinamo qualified owing to the goal scored away. Last year, Dinamo managed to interrupt the hegemony of BATE in the championship, which had held the title of champion for 13 years in a row.
Belarus is the only championship in Europe taking place amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Belarus by now has got over 13,000 infections with the novel coronavirus and 84 deaths.
