The chairman of the Union of Officers in Reserve “Stejarul” Igor Gorgan, who is a member of the National Political Council of the Liberal Democratic Party, is likely to be named as the second deputy minister of defense. Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta told the press that he heard about this possibility, IPN reports.
“There are three political posts at the Ministry of Defense. These are the posts of minister and deputy ministers of defense. I will cooperate with any person who wants to promote the National Army, contribute to its development and assume the same responsibilities as those taken by me,” said the minister.
Vitalie Marinuta was fielded to the post by the Council for Reforming the Liberal Party, while Deputy Minister of Defense Igor Panfile by the Democratic Party.
