Igor Dodon would poll over 35% of vote in presidential elections, survey

If presidential elections were held next Sunday, the leader of the PSRM Igor Dodon would gain 35.1% of the poll, the leader of the PPPDA Andrei Nastase – 13%, the leader of the PDM Marian Lupu – 12.8%, while the PAS leader Maia Sandu - 11%, shows a poll carried out by the sociological lab “Focus” on October 7-13. This covered a sample of 1,084 persons who are sure they will take part in elections, IPN reports.

Asked what party they would vote for in case of parliamentary elections, 23% of those polled said they would vote for the PSRM, 9% for the PPPN, 9% for the PAS, by 6% for the PDM and PPPDA, while 5% for the PCRM. 17% of those surveyed said they would not take part in elections, while another 17% are not sure how they would vote.

Asked what electoral promises they remember best of all, 27% of those surveyed said they do not believe in electoral promises, 15% remember the promises related to the integration into the EU, 13% those to the fight against corruption, 11% to the dissolution of Parliament, while 10% the union with Romania.

34.8% of those questioned said the changes that occurred in Moldova during the last few years are grave, while 30.8% said these are very grave. 44% of the respondents said they have enough money only for bare essentials.  37% said they do not afford to buy the most necessary things and have to borrow money, while 15% said they live modestly, without excesses.
