The Socialists will soon put forward a bill to outlaw all the unionist organizations and parties. The leader of the Party of Socialists of Moldova Igor Dodon told a news conference that unionism is a political sect and the Socialists will launch a broad campaign to inform the people about the dangers posed by this sect, IPN reports.
Igor Dodon said that during several months they will carry out the nationwide campaign “Moldova without oligarchs, Moldova without unionists” within which they will distribute leaflets to remind about the actions taken by the Romanian gendarmerie on the territory between the Prut and Nistru in 1918-1940. The Socialists will also start to collect signatures to ban the unionist organizations in Moldova.
“The only possibility to keep the neutrality and statehood of the country is to outlaw the oligarchs and unionists. I promise that we will do this. You will see. I’m sure that most of the people will support us. Unionism is a political sect. We will not stage protests. They count on the fact that we will take 50,000 people to the streets to destabilize the situation. We will not do this, at least now, but the political sect and some of the mayors will disappear from the Moldovan political sphere,” stated the Socialist leader.
Igor Dodon also said that the tense situation deriving from the actions of the unionists are a method of distracting the people’s attention from the thefts committed in the banking system. Those who are in power want to shift emphases and to follow the scenario of the unionists so as to avoid punishment.
