President Igor Dodon in a press briefing said a Russo-phobic show against the people and the good relations with the Russian Federation, which is a strategic partner, has been witnessed the last few days. “Those who started this Russo-phobic show will pay dear. I refer to those from the PDM first of all. Each action can be responded. Do you think the blocking of the entrance of artists or of planes makes you more popular in the U.S.? Everyone knows who you are,” stated the President, quoted by IPN.

Igor Dodon expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that the plane by which the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin was to arrive in Chisinau could not enter the Romanian airspace and that about 30 Russian artists were banned from entering Moldova. He apologized to the Russian artists in the name of the “Moldovan people’.

Igor Dodon said Romania could block the flight from Moscow to Chisinau, but should have thought about the hundreds of Moldovans with small kids onboard, who bore no blame. He said he spoke to Rogozin and this said the passengers could not understand why they could not lend in Chisinau.

Even if the Russian official didn’t reach Chisinau, Dodon said he will travel to Transnistria on July 29 and will have a meeting with the Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselski to discuss the situation of the Moldovan-administered, Romanian language schools there and of the farmers who own land beyond the Rabnita-Tiraspol road.

President Dodon called on all those who support him to be ready to come to Chisinau when he calls them and not to allow Romanians and unionists to institute their order here.

He said that Bucharest and Chisinau are puppets in the geopolitical game of NATO aimed against the Russian Federation. “I regret a lot that the PDM, the parliamentary alliance and the Government became involved in this dirty geopolitical game that has nothing to do with Moldova’s interests. In fact, this parliamentary alliance is unionist, not pro-statehood, and is pro-NATO. I want to tell those from the PDM that things change and everything goes. Time will come for them to answer too,” stated Igor Dodon.

Civic activists and veterans of the Nistru protested in front of the Chisinau International Airport, where the delegation of the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin was to arrive. Dmitry Rogozin wrote on Twitter that the plane by which he was flying to Chisinau had to return as the lives of passengers were in danger. “The Romanian authorities endangered the lives of the passengers of the S7 Airlines’ flight, including women and children. Fuel was enough only up to Minsk. Wait for answer, rascals,” wrote Rogozin.
