Moldovan President, Igor Dodon said that the Filip government’s resignation is a victory, but that it is not ultimate victory.  According to him, people shouldn’t be at ease because the Moldovan head of state does not rule out that the representatives of the Democratic Party would resort to provocations. The statement was made by the president last evening, on the Friday night show „Piatnita s Anatoliem Golea” (Friday with Anatoliy Golea), IPN reports.

"They can say that Interior Minister Alexander Jizdan left office. I don’t know the new minister, he says that the Sandu government is illegitimate. What will the police do on Sunday, when we get people on the street, who will they obey? ", the president muses.

According to the President, members of the Constitutional Court may reconsider their decision, and precedents exist for Moldova. Another solution to the crisis, says Igor Dodon, is for Parliament to appoint other members of the Constitutional Court.

However, Igor Dodon does not exclude that after the Filip government resigned, some people may leave the country. "It is not by chance that several private jets have their engines primed and ready to go at the Chisinau International Airport.” The head of state explained that the airport was not closed because that would have meant its evacuation and sending in security forces, which is just what the Democratic Party was waiting for. "We do not need it. Whoever and wherever they hide, they can be found and any trace can be detected. The information about money transfers cannot be deleted... everything can be found by a government backed by the EU, Russia and the USA”, Dodon stated.

on Friday, June 14th, the Democratic Party decided to withdraw from the government. Government ministers led by Prime Minister Pavel Filip were to resign starting yesterday.
