President-elect Igor Dodon considers his investing is delayed intentionally. In a news conference, he said his political opponents Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase play the game of the current government, challenging the election outcome in different courts. Meanwhile, the Government puts into practice reforms that he would block, IPN reports.
The President-elect said he would not allow the retirement age to be increased and a NATO liaison office to be opened in Chisinau and would not name one of the fielded candidates as prosecutor general because they do not deserve this post.
According to Igor Dodon, his opponent in the presidential elections Maia Sandu intentionally files complaints to courts on the last day so that the trial lasts as long as possible and the Constitutional Court delays calling a meeting to validate the results of the presidential elections. The legislation provides that his installing as President must take place before December 26-27.
When IPN inquired about the date of the meeting when the outcome is to be validated, the Constitutional Court reiterated that a decision will be taken when all the complaints submitted to court are examined.
Contacted by IPN, members of the team of the Party “Action and Solidarity said Maia Sandu filed two electoral lawsuits. One was examined and a definitive and revocable decision was passed in this case. In the other case, the deadline for filing an appeal against the Appeals Court’s decision to the Supreme Court of Justice expires today, December 6. The appeal will be lodged. There is also the suit filed by Moldovans form the diaspora on which only the ordinary court of law pronounced and this is yet to be examined by the higher courts.
