President Igor Dodon congratulated the entire Romanian people, conveying "good wishes, peace and progress", on the occasion of the National Day of Romania. The president has mentioned that the current relations between the Republic of Moldova and Romania are constantly on the way up. “Romania has been and remains our strategic partner. This relationship is based not only on historical past, but also on close cultural and interpersonal ties, consolidated bilateral projects that we successfully implement in various sectors,” said Igor Dodon. The head of state expressed gratitude for the Romanian financial assistance, offered on a basis of non-reimbursable bilateral agreements.
According to Igor Dodon, Romania is Moldova’s number one trading partner and the main market for the sale of Moldovan wines.
He repeatedly congratulated the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, on the occasion of his victory in the elections, inviting him to visit the Republic of Moldova.
