President Igor Dodon’s spokesman Ion Ceban published a letter addressed by the Head of State to Prime Minister Pavel Filip, whereby this informs that he will not sign the decrees to name three persons proposed by the Government for the post of ambassador, IPN reports.
The President says he took cognizance of the procedure for asking for the agreement of host countries for a number of candidates for ambassador suggested by the Government, but will not accept three of them.
Igor Dodon specifies that he will reject candidate for Moldova’s Ambassador to Belarus Vladimir Ciobanu, candidate for Moldova’s Ambassador to Austria Valeria Seican and candidate for Moldova’s Ambassador to the UK Igor Klipii.
To avoid blockages in diplomatic activity, the Head of State suggests holding additional consultations on the chosen candidates.
