President Igor Dodon intends to have a meeting with the Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselski on the left side of the Nistru on December 25. In a news conference, the President said the agenda of discussions is very consistent and in the meeting they will take stock of the results achieved so far, but, what is more important, will discuss the next steps. He didn’t yet specify what issues will be discussed, IPN reports.
It is yet sure that among the addressed issues will be the law on mobile telephony that enables the mobile phone carries from the right side of the Nistru to have access to the Transnistrian region and vice versa, which Igor Dodon plans to promulgate the comings days.
Asked about the novelties from the agenda of discussions given the statements made by the Transition leader over a month ago, who said that he does not find it opportune to meet with President Igor Dodon given the absence of a complete and topical agenda, the President said the meeting was agreed on September 6 this year, on the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselski.
“I will not comment. Maybe someone did their best for this meeting not to take place. I have rather good relations with Mister Krasnoselski and we have a constructive dialog. We have differing opinions on some of the subjects. I consider Transnistria is part of the Republic of Moldova. He considers Transnistria is an independent state. We will never accept something like this,” stated Igor Dodon, noting they both have yet similar positions as to the solving of current problems.
As President of Moldova, Igor Dodon had four meetings with the Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselski. The last meeting was held at the state residence in Condrița on September 6 this year.
