President Igor Dodon and the leader from Tiraspol talked about the details regarding the "5 + 2" format negotiations, which took place in Bratislava, as well as issues regarding the implementation of the arrangements known as "Berlin +". Additionally, they addressed economic and social issues which concern the interests of the residents and the economic agents on both banks of the Dniester, including the extension of the of free movement regime of citizens, goods and services throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova. "We searched for common ground in order to elaborate methods of approach and their subsequent implementation", wrote Igor Dodon.
On the eve of the Bavarian Conference, scheduled for November 4-5, Igor Dodon said that he reiterated the readiness to continue an open dialogue at different levels, "which will help establish trust between the residents of both banks of the Dniester." "We have agreed that, besides the official contacts, an important factor contributing to the promotion of the political regulation process is the activity of the public institutions", said the head of state.
