President Igor Dodon said he has no other solution than calling on the international community to meditate in the process of peacefully passing on the power in Chisinau following the situation created after the Ping-Pong between the Parliament decisions and the Constitutional Court judgements. On his Facebook page, President Dodon calls upon the people of the Republic of Moldova to show unprecedented mobilization and mount peaceful protests, IPN reports.

According to him, on June 8 citizens of the Republic of Moldova with differing opinions about the domestic and foreign policy showed they can unite for a common cause – Moldova’s liberation from the criminal dictatorial regime. “It is important not to stop our pressure and to continue then struggle!” wrote the President.

Igor Dodon noted that judging by appearances, the Democratic Party does not intend to peacefully pass on the power to the legitimate parliamentary majority and legal government despite the fact that yesterday’s processes in Parliament and the newly formed government were supported by most of the citizens and were recognized by the foreign partners from the West and the East. “I’m convinced that the process was launched and there is no way back. We must go till the end. We will not go back.”

As to the street protests mounted by the Democratic Party, President Dodon said the people should remain at home near the close ones and should not yield to the intimidation and provocations of Plahotniuc’s representatives.
