Socialist candidate for President Igor Dodon summed up the results of his election campaign, saying he is convinced that he will win a decisive victory in Sunday’s presidential runoff, IPN reports.
“The Party of Socialists had over 10,000 electoral meetings all over the country. These involved more than 400,000 people. The first round of elections showed that the people want a change and a candidate of the opposition of the left, who hasn’t formed part of the oligarchic government that has ruled since 2009. Only the mobilization of our voters is needed to secure a final victory,” stated the politician.
The candidate is convinced that if all the supporters of the left go to the polls, the victory in the elections will be overwhelming, with over 60%.
Igor Dodon called on the people to show political wisdom and maturity and urged the supporters of the forces of the left and the center to consolidate and mobilize for the common values – Moldovan statehood, protection of the Christian values, neutrality, relations of friendship with Russia, Moldovan identity, powerful economy, social protection, fight against oligarchy, order in society, causing of early parliamentary elections.
Igor Dodon promised that as President, he will ensure a better life for all the country’s people.
