The replacement of the Premier and Parliament Speaker is not taken into consideration at the negotiations between the Party of Socialists and the Democratic Party. But changes in personnel at the miniseries could take place this spring, President Igor Dodon stated in the talk show “Friday with Anatolie Golea” on RTR Moldova channel, IPN reports.

According to President Dodon, the coalition with the PDM is the best solution, especially because the PDM started to clean itself. The negotiations go on and it is not known when they are closed.

Igor Dodon said he does not believe that the snap elections are a solution. “We understand that these snap elections should be most probably held simultaneously with the presidential elections this November. This means eight months of chaos in the Republic of Moldova. After the presidential-parliamentary elections, negotiations for forming coalitions would be held for another two-three months. This way, we will not have a stable government for over a year,” he stated.

At the beginning of March, the National Council of the Party of Socialists authorized the party’s administration to hold negotiations and to agree political partnerships so as to ensure a stable government that could implement the administration program until 2023 with maximum efficiency. Then, the Socialists expressed their regret at the fact that the former political partners of the ACUM Bloc didn’t respond to the multiple appeals to return to dialog. Shortly afterward, the PSRM and PDM started negotiations.
