Igor Dobrovolski suffers cardiac arrest

The coach of Veris Chisinau Igor Dobrovolski suffered cardiac arrest and was immediately operated. He is now in the reanimatology section and his state is stable.

Doctors of the Chisinau Cardiology Institute said the operation went smoothly. Most probably, Dobrovolski will be discharged in 15 days. However, the 46-year-old coach may not work this season.

Contacted by IPN, the owner of Veris Vladimir Niculaita said the team will help Dobrovolski to recover as quickly as possible.

Igor Dobrovolski entered the big football with Nistru Chisinau, but became famous when he played for Dinamo Moscow. In 1990, he was named the best footballer of the USSR. Dobrovolski trained the national team of Moldova and won the championship of Moldova with Dacia two years ago. He now trains Veris, which ranks third in the National Division.
