Head of Parliament Igor Corman considers that the candidate proposed by the Liberal Reforming Party (PLR) for the post of minister of defense - Vitali Catana - should have been examined in the government coalition. He stated such an opinion in the program “Fourth Power” on N4 channel, IPN reports.

“The subject wasn’t discussed by the coalition’s Council. It’s normal for a component party to submit proposals, but these proposals should be considered by the Council because the responsibility for governance is joint. They do so in a government coalition. They propose and discuss,” stated Igor Corman.

The PLR put forward Vitali Catana for the post of minister of defense after Vitalie Marinuta tendered his resignation. The candidate was presented to Prime Minister Iurie Leanca.
