Head of Parliament Igor Corman will submit the Association Agreement with the European Union for ratification next week, after it is signed in Brussels on June 27. The Speaker made the announcement during a working visit to Cahul, IPN reports, quoting the Parliament’s press service.
“After the signature, the Association Agreement will be immediately lodged to Parliament. I will propose examining it as a meter of urgency within the legislative procedures and will put it forward for ratification next week,” said Igor Corman.
He assured that the Association Agreement was negotiated to benefit Moldova and allows for transition periods and for the possibility of renegotiation in case the farmers experience disadvantages. Judging by the example of the EU member states, European integration means a higher GDP, salaries and pensions and, in general, better living conditions.
