For the political crisis to be overcome, the persons who discredited themselves must step aside, the director of the Association for Participatory Democracy ADEPT Igor Botan said in the public debate ”Culture of political crisis: views and roles of the extra-parliamentary parties in the process of overcoming and communication with society”, staged by IPN News Agency.

Igor Botan said that the image of discredited political leaders is unacceptable for the people. This crisis cannot be overcome by forming a new coalition as nobody will trust it. “If we refer to the esthetic and moral part of the crisis, we see a hideous imagine of this alliance,” he stated.

The expert considers that the solution is for those who discredited themselves to withdraw. “Let them come and say that the institutions are true parties, not Ltds of the leaders, and they ca do their utmost to cope with the difficulties related to the implementation of the government program,” said Igor Botan.

He also said that President Nicolae Timofti should make public the name of the candidate for the post of Prime Minister. “The head of state discussed with all the factions. But we wonder why he does not put forward the candidate so that we try to overcome the crisis,” stated Igor Botan.

He agreed that the official negotiators are a cloud of smoke that hides the real negotiators – the leaders of the parties that come together and discuss. The Communist leader Vladimir Voronin confessed that they had a meeting with the leaders of the PDM and discussed the constitution of a ruling alliance. “If the power belongs to the people and the people invested this power in these parties that are now negotiating, why do they negotiate in secret? This is a serious problem that arouses many questions. We realize that they discuss all the issues in detail, including who will hold the post of prosecutor general and what guarantees they can offer to each other,” said the expert.

The debate ”Culture of political crisis: views and roles of the extra-parliamentary parties in the process of overcoming and communication with society” is the 14th of the series of public debates held by IPN News Agency within the project “Development of political culture by public debates,” which is supported by Hanns Seidel Foundation.
