Former Minister of Security Anatol Plugaru, a member of the first Parliament of Moldova, and the chairman of the Centrist Union of Moldova Mihai Petrache, a member of the 14th and 15th legislatures, consider that only the formation of a reconciliation Government and the union of the good parts of the five parliamentary parties can remedy the present situation, when most of the people are humiliated, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The governing alliance came to power without a unification idea and an attracting image, if we accept that the alliance's face is not Acting President Mihai Ghimpu,” Anatol Plugaru said in a news conference.
Petrache and Plugaru criticized the behavior of Mihai Ghimpu, including the ignoring of the national values. The two jurists mentioned film director Valeriu Jereghi, world checkers champion Ion Dosca and other personalities who are honored in such countries as Basil, Ukraine and Italy, not yet in Moldova. They also criticized the 'presidential Roma dance” at the Festival of Ethnicities, the late arrival at the meeting with Ialoveni residents, etc.
Plugaru and Petrache believe the situation in the country is serious. More people realize this and demand taking steps – either the mafia or the country. “If we do not want to dismember the country, we must dismember mafia,” they said.
“The central administration sees nothing and does nothing. More reasons appear to suspect the authorities of operating in collusion with this mafia,” said Anatol Plugaru.
The former MPs wander why the Parliament has not been yet convoked and why the allegations that Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko is Vlad Plahotniuc's man have not been probed.
According to Plugaru and Petrache, the fact that Speaker and Acting President Mihai Ghimpu does not take steps points to his incompetence. They demanded again meeting their earlier requests: to set up a special parliamentary commission, consultative councils composed of experts under the Acting President and Prime Minister, and a public tribunal; to assess the property of some of the prosecutors and Anticorruption Center officers, and others.
The ex-lawmakers demand formulating a national idea that could unite all the people and contribute to the strengthening of the Moldovan state.
Anatol Plugaru and Mihai Petrache think the time is not opportune for holding a new election campaign as the results will be the same as in the previous elections. “Why should we spend so much money in order to satisfy the ambitions of irresponsible politicians?”
