“We can witnesses another ‘April 7’ if the head of state fails to be elected. Moldovan society becomes impatient and nervous,” the director of the Representative Office of “Mir” Company in Moldova Ion Terguta said in a program on Publika TV, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Ion Terguta, Igor Dodon needs to build a political career. “There is a risk that Dodon may lose everything he obtained until now if early elections take place. The Liberal Party considers that Dodon and his group must support their candidate for the presidency absolutely gratis, but Dodon has his own plans – to create a political party or to reanimate the Socialist Party,” the journalist said in the “Special Program” on Publika TV.
Ion Terguta considers that real Russian roulette will be played in Parliament on November 18. It is not excluded that the PCRM will take part in the voting.
In the same program, Viorel Cibotaru, director of the European Institute for Political Studies, said the Communist Party may propose a neutral candidate in order to make the situation of the ruling alliance more difficult.
As to a possible repeat of the April 7 events, analyst Anatol Taranu, director of the Strategic Researches Center “Politicon”, said another ‘April 7’ against the ruling alliance is Mark Tkachuk’s golden dream.
Another invitee to the program, analyst Vlad Turcanu believes that the PCRM did not yet say its last word. Dodon seemed relaxed after the meeting of the AEI Council, but he and his group may hide a strength that they can use to change things. However, Dodon cannot claim much and cannot pretend to change the political course in Moldova, said the analyst.
Igor Dodon, Zinaida Grecianyi and Veronica Abramchuk left the Communist parliamentary group a week ago. Dodon also left the Communist Party.
On November 11, Igor Dodon took part in the meeting of the AEI Council, where he proposed Zinaida Greceanyi for the post of head of state. Earlier, the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin repeatedly said that the PCRM considers Zinaida Greceanyi is the best candidate for the presidency.
