The MPs of the PPPDA and the PSRM support the idea of a temporary, national salvation government that would solve particular problems of the country and would pave the way for snap parliamentary elections. For their part, the PAS MPs says the voting in of any Government does nothing but put off the snap elections, IPN reports.
The PPPDA MPs said their party is ready to assume a government supported by all the authentic forces from Parliament, which would manage the pandemic and economic crisis and which could be dismissed at any time if it does not cope with the situation.
”We have an option that can deliver results. We have solutions for remedying the situation during the next four-five months. With such a government, we can anytime return to the current situation, if it fails to cope,” MP Igor Munteanu stated in “Natalia Morari’s Politics” on Tv8 channel.
Some of the Socialist MPs share this idea. According to them, as the current interim Government cannot negotiate agreements with the development partners, the country risks failing to cope with the experienced economic crisis.
“In Parliament, 70% of the bills are voted unanimously by the MPs. As we now have a crisis situation, we need a roadmap for heading for snap elections and should not say only that we want such elections. We need to vote in a Government that would work for half a year only. We need a national salvation Government,” said Socialist MP Nicolae Pascaru.
The Democrats said they would support a broad coalition in Parliament.
“Our party does not play a decisive role. If they want our votes, we should sit at a negotiating table and see how we can reach the snap elections,” stated Democratic MP Igor Vremea.
The PAS MPs consider that in the absence of a parliamentary majority that would support the Government’s proposals, the executive will be unable to solve people’s problems.
“We do not see how a temporary government can solve people’s problems in a short period of time and with this political class. We have a unique possibility of meeting the conditions for dissolving Parliament and triggering snap elections so that these produce a solid Parliament,” said PAS MP Virgiliu Pâslariuc.
Under the law, if a new Government is not invested during 45 days of the inauguration of the President, the Constitutional Court ascertains the circumstances for the dissolution of Parliament and snap parliamentary elections are called. The first attempt to vote in the Cabinet proposed by Natalia Gavrilița made on February 11 failed.
