Ice formed on road sectors in the north and center of the country, the State Road Administration. warned. Road workers were mobilized to spread anti-skid material, IPN reports.
For safe driving, motorists are urged to drive with caution, adapt their speed to traffic conditions, maintain a safe distance between vehicles and avoid sudden braking on ice-covered road surfaces.
"In order to maintain optimal traffic conditions, the intervention teams of the road maintenance company JSC "Drumuri" were mobilized to work on national roads to remove ice and spread anti-skid material," reads a press release.
The State Weather Service for Thursday announced temperatures of +1...+6 degrees Celsius. At night, the temperatures will drop to -8 degrees Celsius.
